Course Overview
The Certificate in Business Administration is designed to enable learners to develop their word processing skills, understanding and application of word processing software and file management techniques.
Course Content
At the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Acquire a thorough working knowledge of a word processing package
- Be familiar with an operating system
- Develop the skills of personal initiative and resourcefulness
- Develop good work practices in relation to the use of the computer, printer and materials
- Acquire the skills necessary to produce attractive documents to mailable standard
Assessment
In order to successfully complete the module participants will be required to complete a collection of work OR to complete one assignment and pass one practical exam.
Award
Upon successful completion of the module participants will be awarded a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Word Processing.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have a Level 4 Certificate, Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant life and work experiences.
Duration
12 weeks, 2.5 hours per week.
