Certificate in Marketing (B20017)
Course Overview
The Certificate in Marketing is designed to give participants a basic understanding of the principles of Marketing and how these principles can be used by a variety of organisations. It is suited for those people who are wanting to learn how they can use the principles of Marketing in their current business environment - whether that be working for themselves or any other type of organisation, or are interested in improving their employment prospects by gaining a core understanding of a vital aspect of today’s business environment.
Course Content
At the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Explain the principles and practices of Marketing
- Apply the principles and practices of Marketing to their personal business environment
- Develop a Marketing report
- Discuss the role of Marketing in everyday business life.
- Work effectively as a Marketing assistant.
Assessment
In order to successfully complete the module participants will be required to complete two projects and pass one exam.
Award
Upon successful completion of the module participants will be awarded a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Marketing.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have a Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant life and work experience.
Duration
12 weeks + an exam class, 2.5 hours per week.
