Certificate in Manual and Computerised Payroll (N32642)
Course Overview
This twelve week course is designed for those who have a high level of experience in the area of payroll and/or have already completed a relevant level 5 qualification. Learners will build on their ability to record, edit, interpret and analyse payroll data using manual and computerised payroll systems. They will also be introduced to the relevant legislation in the area of employment law and how it impacts on the payroll function. This will improve their ability to work efficiently and effectively in H.R or accounts departments..
Course Content
At the end of this course participants will be able to
- Analyse a variety of payroll practices
- Detect and amend errors in data entry and record keeping processes
- Complete end of period and end of year returns.
- Record and update employee files
- Explain how legislation impacts on the payroll system.
Assessment
In order to successfully complete the module participants will be required to complete one project and one assignment.
Award
Upon successful completion of the module participants will be awarded a FETAC Level 6 Certificate in Payroll - Manual and Computerised.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have completed a level 5 certificate in Payroll or have a strong knowledge of computers and payroll systems and procedures.
Duration
12 weeks, 2.5 hours per week.
