Information and Administration (B20144)
Course Overview
The Certificate in Information and Administration is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate effectively in an administrative capacity under supervision. The focus is on developing an understanding of how information is processed within different types of business organisations, the various systems and methods in use and the duties and functions of personnel within.
Course Content
At the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Understand how information is processed within an organisation and acquire the skills necessary to perform routine duties
- Appreciate the purpose of legislation as it applies to the workplace
- Appreciate the importance of planning and organising work related activities
- Appreciate the impact of new technology on work practices
Assessment
In order to successfully complete the module participants will be required to complete one assignment, a practical demonstration of skills and pass one exam.
Award
Upon successful completion of the module participants will be awarded a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Information and Administration.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have a basic understanding of I.T and/or relevant work/life experience.

12 weeks, 2.5 hours per week
