Course Overview

The Higher Certificate in Business will give candidates a good level of foundation knowledge in business techniques on the main principles and techniques for effective and efficient business planning in both today's and tomorrow's working environment. These will assist in their personal and professional needs. Candidates who are successful in the Higher Certificate in Business will also improve their employment and career prospects across the public and private sector.

Assessment

There is a continual assessment approach to the award and units with a range of assessment instruments including formal examinations, assignments, case studies and general course work.

Entry Requirements

The programme is suitable for individuals who are interested in enterprise and work in the modern business environment. A minimum of 5 school leaving certificates: International students must have IELTS Bandscore 6. Mature students may be admitted based on their work experience and aptitude.

Duration

2 years. The academic year is 30 weeks in length and the Higher Certificate is 21 hours per week
